sc10 tranny

    I cant keep my sc10 tranny idler gear to hold up any suggestions had a 5700 kv in there then tried a 3800 kv and still the same problem ive cleaned all teeth in there one by one help me

    Check you top shaft, maybe the teeth are worn.. Had this also with my B4.1. Replaced all the gears and problem solved

    I heard once something about a bend motor plate that could causes something with the tranny..
    Make sure nothing binds? Also fon't overtighten the screws that hold the diff cases together.

    I found that 5700 iz to much motor for the gear diff

    upgrade to a ball diff they are soooo much smoother but make sure to buy carbine balls

    Yes it definitely helps take the load off of the top shaft under load. Which in return takes the load off the idler making it last longer.

    Shimming your tranny helps immensely! Make sure the gears are snug but NOT tight. Another tip is to shimm evenly as possible to keep the gears lined up and not offset from one another.
