Is there any differences between the older 8.2e FT and the newest version? I'm looking at one that is a year and a half to 2 years old.
    Thanks!

So the new one has a lighter chassis color?
And is there an easy way to tell the 8.2 from the 8.1 ?
    Thanks!!

Right, is there something obvious to tell them apart? Looking at some used ones, just trying to be educated before I go spend-crazy!

There are few minor changes but the most noticeable are....

    RC8 has graphite towers
RC8b has blue aluminum towers, a worlds suspension option upgrades were available with black towers
    RC8.2 has black aluminum towers

So is the black chassis 3mm shorter than the gold on the FT?

Do you know what parts at not compatible between the 8.2 and the 8.2 FT? Chassis, dogbones, etc.?
    Thanks!

They are all compatible. They are just made with different material or made differently but they all fit for sure

Dogbones and driveshafts are made differently (dogbones vs CVAs) but are all interchangeable

Cool, thanks again! I thought I saw some parts labeled +3mm.
I have a new rtr and a beat up FT, and was thinking of taking the parts that were in better condition from the 2 to build up a new one.
Is the ft chassis a lot better? 3mm longer? Is there more distance between the diffs? Anything else I should know before doing this?
What are the advantages or disadvantages of cvas vs dogbones?
    Thanks!!

The 8.2 has a 3mm longer chassis compared to the 8B. I'm not 100% sure but I believe the extra 3mm are on the rear section of the chassis

I prefer CVAs, they are smoother but require a little maintenance

Oh, so the FT and RTR have the same chassis?
    Thanks!
