    I think.it's your own choise.
    Some people say the Tekin are the smoothest out there others say it's not that good..
    Same goes for LRP

    I run a LRP 17.5 and love the motor..

    What ESC do you have?

    I really like LRP or Reedy motors.

    Never ran a Tekin since they came back in the industry

    Had a Tekin 10.5 that was just SWEEEEET! More power than I could use. Smoooooth power also, until I went to a carpet track and didn't keep an eye on motor temps. Smoked as I crossed the finish line in the A-main!!! :mad-32:

    Running a LRP X11 7.5 with a Speed Passion GT2.0 LPF esc in the SC10 now. <<<< this is way better than the Castle Sidewinder SCT and 4600 motor than I had in the SC10!

    The CS SCT / 4600 is in my T4 now.

    one factor in my decision was the close can its seems lets dirt gets inside so that means less maintenance.

    hey guys I have a ripper brushless 3900kv motor sitting in my draw, do you think the b4 would go well with this? same dimensions and everything as the reedy 3300kv and still have stock everything else.

    3300kv = 13.5
    3900kv = 10.5

    The newest B4 manual shows the same gearing for both motors.

    21/81

    I'd say watch your motor temps.

    That sounds stupid to me because for me RC is not a busine$$ but for Trinity, it represents a lot of money

    might take a look at the Duratrax 8.5t sensored motor. Pair it with their DE10, and talk about a nice set up.

    I like 7.5 in the buggy. Has enough power and not brake the tires loose instantly.
    But spins up fast for short runs at larger jumps.

    I've ran 13.5 and 10.5s for ever with great results. Run a large pinion like a 24-27 ?
    If it gets hot out or muddy watch temp. If you don't have a temp gun get one mine smaller than a pen and cost
    About thirty bucks worth every penny.

    Also your right stay with a sealed can for out door. I've even drilled some out before they even were vented.

    The X20s are monsters. I love them. I do run X12 in buggy just cause its a littel more tame on the torque. Also one thing about the X12. They dont mind getting hot. I ran mine 180 to 190. And never had a problem.

    I picked up a used X12 8.5 for 40 bucks and it smoked 5 min in the race with 81 spur 23 pinion. Been shy about getting another one. Was told that the guy I got it from was known to push things to the limit. You are about the 100th one to state the torque friendly issue with the X12 motors. I'm running a Novak 9.5t now that's all they had at the track that night. Don't hear that much on the 9.5t motors power seems to come on slow when exiting corners.
