How To Temp a ESC

For anyone unsure where to get a true temp reading on the esc.

Temping at the capacitor is the best place.

The cooling fan can drop the temp on the heat sink very fast giving you a false reading so you may think its 130 but it could really be 150 where it counts.

THE ABOVE is for esc's that have the cap mounted on the esc.

All others temp someplace away from the heat sink!

Good info. Do you have any recommendations on a good temp gun?
